About

I was born in Canada and have spent most of my career building software systems in finance, research, regulated physical-world operations, and now, generative AI.

My work has ranged from asset management compliance systems to academic open science and commercial drone operations in Southeast Asia.

I’ve managed a cumulative total of more than 180 people on projects involving computer vision, predictive and generative AI systems, ETL pipelines, and robotics.

I attended the University of Waterloo from 2001 to 2007, and in 2012 obtained the CFA charter.

In 2013, I led the development of a GIPS compliance system for an asset management firm with approximately $30B AUM.

From 2013 to 2018, I was a Senior Contributor and later Executive Director of OpenWorm, an academic open-science project focused on integrative biological simulation, with collaborators across multiple universities and research institutions.

Between 2018 and 2022, I founded and operated a commercial drone delivery business in Thailand. The company received regulatory approval for operations in multiple cities.

In 2023 I founded a Singapore-based AI startup that has been venture-backed by True Incube and Iterative VC.

My electronic mail address is my first initial, followed by my last name, at gmail. For a longer biography, read Curriepedia.
